Women are beautiful. Women are gross. We are divine, and we are simply bodies. Embodying all the contradictions of being human, this sketch juxtaposes the hyper-feminine with the ultra-gross for a raw, truthful, playful look at being a modern woman. Set against a backdrop of gaudy privilege, “I Love Pus” asks its audience to investigate the ugly stuff behind the stereotype. I Love Pus is made by and starring women in all roles in front of and behind the camera.
I want people to laugh because it makes our world a happier place. While it is vital to address the sorrow, struggle and inequality in our world, it is also important to celebrate the joys and idiosyncrasies of life. We are stronger to tackle difficulties when we are bolstered by laughter. We are more humble, self-aware, and open to growth when we laugh.
