3411985Stephanie Bollag is a Jewish filmmaker born in Switzerland (Zurich) to a Swiss father and Swedish mother.  She began her creative career at an Italian Art Gymnasium (Liceo Artistico) in Zurich, where she discovered her love for filmmaking through Italian cinema.  In 2006 she moved to Israel to work on Joseph Cedar’s Academy Award Nominated feature film Beaufort. Stephanie stayed in Israel (Tel Aviv) for five more years.  With a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with Specialization in Film & TV Studies (Cum Laude) and more work experience in the Israeli film industry, Stephanie moved to London where she worked for Paul Trijbits (Ruby Films) and produced two short films, one of which went on to win Best Short at the London Independent Film Festival.  In 2012, Stephanie founded her own company, a development agency scouting for scripted content in Scandinavia and the Middle East.  Stephanie decided to apply to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and Columbia University’s respective Graduate Film Programs. She was accepted by both schools and chose to enrol at NYU Tisch. In her first year at Tisch, Stephanie re-discovered her ability and passion to tell strong, female-driven stories, which (in one way or the other) are influenced by her Jewish spirit and heritage. The past experiences and challenges have provided Stephanie with a strong sense of self, motivation and know
